Pillar 02: Data

Data drives digital transformation.

Data is both an asset and a tool. HRI aggregates, standardizes, and anonymizes members' data contributions so a single plant's readings become a fleet-wide reference no operator could build alone.

The data pipeline

Step 01

Ingest

Members transfer their data systems to HRI via a secure process. No data submissions are asked of members that their systems don't already capture.

Step 02

Standardize

When applicable, HRI staff map each member's tags onto HRI's taxonomy, a universal framework created and maintained by HRI. Mapping all tags to this standard taxonomy allows for data comparisons across differently configured systems.

Step 03

Anonymize

Sharing only works if the data is safe. Identifying details are stripped from the data, and unit details receive a code from HRI corresponding to the anonymized unit.

Step 04

Compare

Once data is in the platform, members can benchmark across companies, equipment types, and individual units.

From here, the clean data feeds research, predictive models, and the shared projects that define what HRI does.

Operational data is the continuous time-series information pulled from member historians. This is the second-by-second story of how uptime actually looks. We have the largest collection of operational data worldwide, and its value compounds as members contribute.

Event data captures discrete occurrences - trips, alarms, and operational state changes - across the member fleet, giving a shared record of what happened and when.

Maintenance data covers planned and unplanned work performed on equipment, connecting operational history to the interventions that kept it running.

Equipment profiles describe the physical assets themselves - manufacturer, unit type, runner type, number of blades, and more - so operational and maintenance data can be compared like-for-like.

Access the data

The HRI Platform

HRI's platform makes its complex data simple to access and explore. Members can search and filter data by date or by component-specific details such as manufacturer, unit type, runner type, number of blades, and more. Members can extract custom filtered reports from the platform or connect to HRI's API to integrate data directly.
